32. Cleveland Browns (0-8)- Last Week- 32

Nothing to say here. I have run out of ways to say the Browns suck. They were on a bye week and still lost because of the blunder at the trade deadline where they failed to get the paperwork in on time.

31. San Francisco 49ers (0-8)- Last Week- 31

With Jimmy Garoppolo on deck, the future may be bright, but right now they still have to play with CJ Beathard. Until Garoppolo steps onto the field, they will be bad.

30. New York Giants (1-7)- Last Week- 29(-1)

What a disaster this team is. No one seems to want to play, the coach is a Buffon, and they can’t even stop a screen pass on a 3rd and 33.

29. Houston Texans (3-5)- Last Week- 11(-18)

The loss of Deshaun Watson for the season is a tragedy, one that kills their season. With Tom Savage, they couldn’t even beat the Colts. With Watson, they were playoff contenders, without him, they may end up picking in the top 5.

28. Indianapolis Colts (3-6)- Last Week- 30(+1)

Andrew Luck is done for the year. Now their best hope is that Jacoby Brissett looks good enough so that they can trade him in the offseason. They need to stock up on draft picks, and then bring in a new GM who will know how to use those draft picks.

27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-6)- Last Week- 26(-1)

The problem here has to be bad coaching. They are too talented to be this bad. Dirk Koetter may end up on the chopping block after this year.

26. Cincinnati Bengals (4-5)- Last Week- 25(-1)

Speaking of coaches that need to be fired, why does Marvin Lewis still have a job? People keep telling me he is a good coach, but I see no proof of it over his many years coaching where he is barely over .500 and has no playoff wins.

25. Miami Dolphins (4-4)- Last Week- 27(+2)

Jay Cutler actually looked good against the Raiders. They lost in the end, but the offense was moving for the first time all year. Still, one good week doesn’t convince me after seven games where they could barely move the ball.

24. Arizona Cardinals (3-5)- Last Week- 28(+4)

The Cardinals have been very good at beating up on bad teams. If only they could beat even a half decent team. Anytime they play a good team, they get blown out of the water.

23. Baltimore Ravens (4-5)- Last Week- 24(+1)

Don’t let them going up one spot confuse you, this is a bad team. They lost to the Titans, fell to 4-5, and still cannot move the ball to save their lives.

22. Chicago Bears (3-5)- Last Week- 23(+1)

They were on bye this week. I hope the bye made John Fox realize he should give his young QB a chance to throw the ball. This season is over, and they should be giving Mitch Trubisky a chance to really get acclimated to the game where there can be no consequences. Instead, they keep running it and giving him little to no chances to prove himself.

21. Green Bay Packers (4-4)- Last Week- 21

They are now 0-3 since Rodgers was injured. They should be even worse than 21, but I just couldn;t justify the Ravens or Bears moving up two spots, so they stay here by default.

20. Oakland Raiders (4-5)- Last Week- 22

Well, they are not dead yet. At 4-5, their chances should be dwindling, but the Chiefs seem to be falling apart, and now the Raiders are only two games behind, and already have one win over the Chiefs.

19. Denver Broncos (3-5)- Last Week- 16(-3)

Last week, the Broncos defense complained that the offense was letting them down. This week, that defense gave up 51 points. Were they trying to show the offense how it feels to be let down? The offense, not to be outdone, was also awful against the Eagles, but at least they have an excuse. They have Brock Osweiler at QB.

18. San Diego Chargers (3-5)- Last Week- 18

Another team who was on a bye. At 3-5, their chances are slim, but to be fair, they have not been as bad as their record. They have been mediocre, and unlucky. In their next three games they play the Jaguars, Bills, and Cowboys, a stretch that could knock them out officially.

17. Detroit Lions (4-4)- Last Week- 17

Sorry Lions, but beating up on the Aaron Rodgerless Packers is not enough to redeem yourselves after that three-game losing streak. Let’s see you win some more games. They do draw the Browns this week, so they should get another win.

16. Tennessee Titans (5-3)- Last Week- 19(+3)

The Titans haven’t played great of late, but still, find themselves in charge of their division. They are 5-3, and have a win over the Jaguars. Still, they will have to play better if they want to stay in first

15. New York Jets (4-5)- Last Week- 20(+5)

What a statement game for the Jets. Prime time television, against a division opponent, and a 5-2 team, and they controlled the team from start to finish. They are still in the weeds with a 4-5 record, and have no room for error, but this team is not dead yet.

14. Atlanta Falcons (4-4)- Last Week- 12(-2)

They had the go ahead touchdown. Julio Jones was wide open for a touchdown. But, he dropped it. You never expect Julio to drop a ball, but he did so at the worst possible time. Now they are 4-4, and are third in their own division. They are in serious danger of missing the playoffs.

13. Washington Football Team (4-4)- Last Week- 15(+2)

Just when you think they are dead, they pull off an upset over the Seahawks. The offense struggled, but when they needed to, the pulled off a great touchdown drive to go ahead and earn the win.

12. Buffalo Bills (5-3)- Last Week- 9(-3)

The Bills suffered an awful loss in week 9. Now they get a tough draw against the Saints. Winning it will redeem themselves, but a loss could put the wildcard spot they had a firm hold on in jeopardy.

11. Carolina Panthers (6-3)- Last Week- 13(+2)

They beat the Falcons, but their offense still looked bad. In fact, if it was not for Julio Jones dropping a wide open touchdown, they would have lost. I thought it was stupid to trade Kelvin Benjamin, and this proved it. Still, their defense is fantastic, and they are still better than most of the mediocrity in the NFL this year.

10. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3)- Last Week- 14(+4)

Two game winning streak! They broke the trend. In seriousness, this team has a ton of talent, especially on defense. But Blake Bortles limits their ceiling this year. Still, with DeShaun Watson and Andrew Luck on the IR, the Jaguars are in good position to win the AFC South.

9. Minnesota Vikings (6-2)- Last Week- 8(-1)

Again, lots of talent, but no QB. Lets see how Teddy Bridgewater plays if he comes back, but I cant see a guy being out as long as him just stepping in and playing great. The lack of a quality QB will them when they have to go through Drew Brees, Carson Wentz, and Dak Prescott.

8. Kansas City Chiefs (6-3)- Last Week- 4(-4)

The Chiefs defense is bad. They couldn’t stop the Cowboys at all. The Cowboys were able to slowly move down the field, and control the ball the entire day against KC. When they did have the ball, the explosive offense we saw the first dew weeks, was nowhere to be seen.

7. Dallas Cowboys (5-3)- Last Week- 10(+3)

The Cowboys seem to be improving. Still, we do not know the future of Elliot, and if he will have to serve his suspension this year. They may be able to get by without him, but even so, his loss would hurt. With him, they have a good chance at one of the wildcards.

6. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2)- Last Week- 7(+1)

They didn’t play, but still benefited from the Chiefs loss. It makes the Steelers the second best team in the AFC for now. I still am not a huge fan. They are certainly better in the passing game than they were, but Big Ben remains a concern. Still, in a year with many mediocre teams, good may be enough.

5. Seattle Seahawks (5-3)- Last Week- 5

The Hawks defense is elite, but their offense is way too inconsistent right now. One week, they can put up 40, but the next, they struggle to score only two touchdowns. That is the way it will be with their offensive line. They added Duane Brown, but one LT isn’t enough to fix their problems.

4. New Orleans Saints (6-2)- Last Week- 6(+2)

The Saints have won six in a row. It is the second best winning streak right now, behind only the Eagles who have won seven in a row. The Saints have a chance to tie that mark with the Eagles on a bye week.

3. St Louis Rams (6-2)- Last Week- 3

The Rams offense is electric, and the defense is pretty solid as well. I still rank them over the Seahawks because they have been more consistent. We will see how they hold up come the playoffs, but there is no doubt they are talented and have a bright future.

2. New England Patriots (6-2)- Last Week- 2

They didn’t play, but they still got a win with the Chiefs falling in Dallas. With Tom Brady behind center, and the defense getting better, the Patriots have to be the favorite in the AFC.

1. Philadelphia Eagles (8-1)- Last Week- 1

They dominated the Broncos, who many considered the best defense in the league. They consider to show up week in and week out, and have no glaring flaws. They can run, pass, stop the run, and stop the pass, while playing great on special teams. They are the total package right now.
